Hear From Our Team

I love everything about my job. I like the people, I like the variety. I love the ever changing world that nursing is. Nursing has grown so much in the last 20 years. I am thrilled to be in a job that I have to continuously stimulate my brain. And using all of my current knowledge and the knowledge that I gain to help people and save their lives is the greatest feeling. There’s no replacement for the happiness when a patient’s condition is better because I took care of them.
Liz Davis, RN, BSN, CEN
Director Emergency Department & Respiratory Therapy
Penn Highlands Clearfield

I did nursing clinical rotations at several hospitals during nursing school, Penn Highlands was one of them. I was impressed at the level of care that was provided to the patients. There was a high standard held to staff to provide exceptional care and it was evident. Patients wanted to come to Dubois and nurses wanted to work here. It is a challenging and rewarding place to work.
Holly Hertlein, RN, CEN
Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator
Penn Highlands DuBois

Keep an open mind. It's so easy to go to school and think I absolutely want to work in OB or Pediatrics. You just never know, it could turn out that cath lab, OR, or wound healing might turn out to be your niche. You might try many areas until you find "your place" and there is nothing wrong with that. That's the beauty of nursing, there's something for everyone.

Penn Highlands Huntingdon

I still remember when I moved here 3 years ago, I was so intimidated on how to fit in in medical field because I had been working in corporate world for 5 years. It was a huge adjustment but I’m grateful that PHH helped me grow. From working in the Dietary, Housekeeping, MedSurg (as patient aide), Laboratory departments, I’m excited to finish LPN program in March. Praying for more successes in the coming years. Thank you Penn Highlands Healthcare for all the opportunities to grow.
